Strawberry mousse

This morning that my grandma came here to give us strawberry mousse, instead of my cake.
My aunt made that. She is a really great cook!!! I like her dish very much. Her dish is always added something special or taken a lot of time. She is my master!
This was very big mousse! So I tried to take it our to a plate. But I failed it. AHHHHH!!!

Sooo sorry, aunt...:( Even though, taste was so good.

Mother's day

Yesterday was Mother's day. So I was baking a cake for my mom and grandma. When I was sponge cake, my another grandma, who lives with my dad' brother family, came to our house and brought a lots Japanese sweets! Thanks! I like chocolate or ice cream but also beans paste, anko. I'm happy to be Japanese.

Anyway, after she went home, I started to decolate a cake. This time I mixed powder of strawberry flavor to the cream. It became pinkish a bit. Hmm, not enough.

In the evening, my mom looked at this cake and suggested we brought this cake to my grandma, who is my mom's mom in law, visited us this day.
That's why I couldn't present that for mom and eat. But I can bake again and present easily because we live together. So it was good to present this day, though I worried about that taste...

A new bakery has opened here!

I started baking bread recently. This was third time. The top of bread was burned too much but the crust was crisply and the inside was soft. Well done, well done.:) It was pretty easy to bake. We don't need many ingredients. Flour, salt, sugar, butter, yeast and water, that's all.
To tell the truth, I like making or creating something all the way. In this case, of course I like bread, but I was happy and it was fun because I did well.

Japanese' English

Recently I'm reading some books and one of them about English. The auther is Japanese woman but she seems to live abroad.

Ah, I forgot the title but it's about the difference of the way of thinking between Japanese and English. By comparing the reports which are written by Japanese college student and the student who uses English as mother tongue, she points out the week point of Japanese' English. She doen't remark about the grammar but that stlye. (I suppose it's better to show the examples written in the book but I already return that. So I can't do now.) Well, the conclusion is if you write, about a certain topic which is given in the exam or disccussion), objective or subjective. Japanese' is subjective and English speaker's is objective. Reading those examples, I found the difference easily. For me, I'm Japanese, Japanese student's one is easy (in grammer) to read. And I also felt it "sounds" similar to mine and got tired of reading because of that point.

Most Japanese students, of course though the students are not only Enflish learner in Japan, use "I" a lot. They tend to start from "I". She mentions it's cause of Japan education and Japanese language. We all Japanese learned the writing way that we write and express our own feelings or experienses; for example, about the books we read (during summer or winter break), school events, and so on. And more, Japanese sentense doen't require having subject necessarily. So Japanese students get used to write objective.

And about the style of reports. When English speaker read Japanese' English, they don't seem to understand what the conclusion is in that. I can't explain well...but the theory applys to mine, too. Japanese' English is like a spiral. I mean, like "agree→but→even though→agree"... But English speaker's is directly.

Hmm, I got tired thinking about those, haha. I'm really Japanese. What do I want to say...? Hm, just telling the reason why Japanese' Engilsh sounds childish.

Sakura(cherry blossoms)

"Why Japanese people like sakura?", said an Australian whom I mentioned in "My circumstance". Now here in Tohoku, we can see many beautiful sakura. And we, most Japanese, like to go seeing sakura or to have a hanami party under them. But why sakura? Isn't good if we have it under another trees? Ohanami(お花見)means to see flowers to the letters. But it reffers the flower must be sakura.

Sakura have different beauty from other trees. The blossoms, the color, the season it blooms, and the term as well. They don't show their leaves while they're in bloom. So we can enjoy their beautiful pink. I like to see the ground covered with the blooms fallen from that branch. It's a carpet of flowers. Yeah, it's true that the best time of sakura is really short in a year. So people are pleased all the more. And in my opinion, the time sakura blooms let us feel spring and the end of winter. Getting warm and comfortable to go out. To add to that, in Japan, it's the season to say good-bye and also to meet new people or things.

This sakura comes out from the crack of rock. I've heard, long long time ago, the lightning hit the rock and the seed came in the crack. It is very old tree so many posts carry it now.
