Today I went for a drive.
I dropped in the station of road in Kawasaki. Many vegetables were sold there. I usually like to see those. I wanted to buy but I gave up. Because in my refrigerator there was still food I had to eat soon...so first I have to cook them...anyway, I want to go there again. It was interesting.
And I drove up to Ichinoseki(even though Kawasaki is also a part of Ichinoseki now.). From the road I was driving, I could see Ichinoseki gakuin. And the school festival was held. Most of high schools hold a school festival in the end of August to the first of September. So I thought it was unusual at first. But just think of it, that school was private. So they might have the festival whenever they want to. And achademic shools usually want to finish such event as earlier as it can.
I went to Geo. I want some novels. But unfortunately only comics and games were sold there...It was a shame! OK. Next time I'll go to book market.

I enjoyed this weekend. I think I didn't do anything special(eccept making an apple pie). But the weather was so nice. So just going out is enough. But After a trip, I want to go drinking with my friends.

apple pie Posted by Picasa

I got 11 apples last friday. I like an apple but how do I eat these all? So I decided to make an apple pie. But this time I cut corners. I didn't make the dough. I used frozen pie dough. It's really easy. :p

I'm happy

I have a happy thing for me. One of the teachers showed me a composition. It was the girl's who helped me with my work for the festival...

I was working the clothes which were used in the role play. It was hard to get all clothes we used in a play. So I had to make some of them. I like creating. I'm pretty good at that(I think. But I'll say it's just my opinion.) Anyway, I did sewing. I used sewing machine for the first time since I used it during home economic class when I was a high school student. I forgot completely how to use it at first. But fortunately the home economic teacher who works part time was the day I just met a trouble. And she taught me kindly. So I could start making the clothe. Somehow I was making then. And the girl and her friend come in the room and started to help me...

The explanation was a little bit long. Now, to return to the subject. The girl saw my work. So she added a comment about my work in her composition. Like this...

"She was using a sewing machine clumsily. There was ragged cloth by her which hadn't been cut thread which should be done. But I don't think it is shabby. She made it for us. I felt that it is nice to do something hard for someone..."
"慣れない手つきでミシンを動かしていた。そばには糸処理のされていない布がちらばっていた。でも、私はそれがぼろぼろだとは思わない。私たちのために作ってくれた。私は、誰かのために一生懸命にがんばることはいいことだなと感じた...。”

I laughed first when I read that. Because, from her eyes, I seemed to be seen that I used it clumsily. And shbby cloth...But I was so happy and my eyes got watery...Thank you.

My day-off

I chose hotel koyokan(紅葉館)for today's onsen in hanamaki. Because I have a free coupon for there. It was really nice weather so I went there. If it was rainy, I wouldn't because I don't want to drive to such far. I got there before 1p.m. Then some visiters werer about to leave by bus. So in the bath, there was only woman. It was nice time and of course the bath was also good. When I was there, two women who seemed to be from overseas were coming. I thought they were parent and her dauther. I was thinking whether I speak to them or not then. It was first time for me that I spoke to stranger! Yeah, I did. I like speaking English even though my English is not perfect but enough to have a chat. (I reminded my trip in German and London then. My friend and me were spoken to by local people in English and also Japanese. One time of them was help for us. And others were just chattings. Somehow I was so happy then.) Anyway I said "Hello." and they also hello with smiling. "Are you English speakers? Can I talk to you?", I said. They were kind to take it. The mother, she were from America to visit her daughter. This time was first experience for onsen. She was enjoying it. And her daughter was working in Iwate. They haven't met for 15 months. So they were enjoying spending time together. And the mother said she had tried sushi and found she doesn't like row fish and like hamburg one(haha). It's a shame you don't like actual sushi. (By the way even though I spoke to them first but I was nervous a little bit. Because it was in English...) We talked a little bit in a bath. Yeah, I was hot so couldn't stay there any more then. I thanked them. Nice to see you and thanks for having talking with me.
Anyway it is really hotel. So I didn't take a picture but the opposite that there is a quite nice ryokan. So I took this.

After onsen, I decided to go to morioka because I came here(hanamaki) all the way from such far. And I enjoyed shopping there. I wanted a textbook for learnig German TV program. But it was lack. It's a shame!
My family's house in on the way from Morioka to my room. So I dropped there to get some vegetables. :) And I got also a peice of cake. Now there, my mom, brother and grandmother live. So it would be enough if she had bought three piece of caked. If so, I couldn't get mine. But she bought a big one for cut. I didn't know then why my mom bought such cake today. So I asked. And I realized that. Yeah, today is my brother's birthday. I forgot that completly... I wonder what I should present for him...

maybe strong drinker...

Last night I had a drinking party. I had a couple of beers, sake and chu-hi. I was concious. I didn't feel any feeling I was drunk. Although of course I enjoyed it a lot. The party finished around 12.(Even though we wanted to stay there, but it was Sunday, so the close time is earlier.) I got to my room before 1. I wasn't sleepy but I went to bed soon because I wanted to go out today. (I woke up at 8:30. I'm good. Haha :)) Yeah, now I'm thinking what to do today. Actually I want to go to onsen. But which onsen? Ummm...anyway I'll go anywhere so I'll prepare...

today's dinner Posted by Picasa

Oden and okaka onigiri(and alcohol :p). Both of them I made by myself, of course. I usually make some okaka onigiri on weekend. And froze them. So I can eat those anytime.
And about oden. I think oden really suits autumn and winter. Yeah, it's getting cold. So I felt like having oden. That's why I made. But I made too much...

poem Posted by Picasa

Two of them connected their sheet. And they drew a picture on it. It's brilliant. I like it.

紅葉(こうよう)

The leaves in Iwate park seeme to have already started to turn. I miss them. Actually I'm in mountain now. But perhaps the leaves here which turn their color are not so much...(I think the kinds of tree are different from that the one which turns the color.) Iwate park is nice place to see those beautiful scene. I really want to go out to see "autumn". But usually once we have a job, we tend to miss the best time of "koyo". Yeah, in this weekend we have school festival. So if I can go, maybe it's on Monday. But I doubt it. Because, on Sunday, we'll have a drinking party...so I might be tired then. But I want to go. And I want to enjoy onsen as well. If you live in Iwate, I recommend kozanso(湖山荘)as nice onsen place. It makes us feel Japan. Michelle liked there so she would often go there. :)
It's a shame there isn't exact word in a dictionary which means the leaves turn their colors.

Limousine!

I saw a limo tonight! I think this is the first time for me. Somehow(?) I put my foot down and I tried to chase it. :) I was excited a little bit. I wanted to see it well. The number plate was green. So I think it would not be for individual. This limo was not big but absolutely it was limo. Are thre any limos in Iwate, I wonder?

conducting

Our brass band club had a concert this weekend. Actually I used to be a trombone player. But I joined that as a percussion player(sounds strange. Because I haven't used this word.Is it correct, I wonder?) When the concert passed the half of it, there was a small happening to me. I was standing on the stage behind the curtain then. I was going to join their, you know, as a percussion player again(It's tambourine. It's fun.). But they called me and told me to join as a conducter. I have conducted during their practicing and I also conducted on the eve of their practicing on that day. But I hadn't seen the scores they played, and hadn't memorized those yet. Anyway, somehow I did, even though I wasn't satisfided with my work.
I experienced a conducter of the club I belonged when I was a high school student. To conduct is interesting and looks nice. But actually it's really hard. We have to listen carefully to each part sounds and balance. If I talk about this, it would be long. So I won't. Anyway, this time, I did for the first time in for five years(maybe). So my right sholder hurts a little bit now. You'll know, to conduct for some tunes is hard for physical. Anyway I enjoyed a lot with them.

chestnuts

chestnuts Posted by Picasa
Aren't those nuts big?? By our house, there is one chestnut tree. It is yong tree as it is, so not tall. But it bears quite big nuts. This is my hand. My hands are big as a girl, I think. Even though that, the nuts look big.
It's a shame that the picture isn't forcused.

It's cold.

I like autumn and winter. Even though (of course I know that it's natural.) it is cold now. I think if in winter, we use heater and kotatsu. But now it's autumn. So we tend not to use those stuff yet though it's such cold.
But I used heater last night for the first time since April. I was so cold. I have a cold now. I've taken a medicine since last friday. My cold didn't become worse. Just sore throat and cough. I have to cure a cold before it becomes worse again.
And I have to go back my home to get my coat and so on which I need in winter...

Look!!

pino Posted by Picasa

I got a pino of star(?) shape. It is rare, isn't it? This tastes chestnut. When I ate a pino which takes vanilla before, I got a heart shape one.
I'll buy it again!
